Dear Community,

I want to take a moment to address some recent concerns and updates regarding the Trongate project.

Recently, a discussion forum for Trongate was created (though not launched) by someone without prior consultation with me. While I appreciate the enthusiasm for community resources, I believe forums might not align with the broader goals I have for the framework. I have shared my reservations with the individual involved, but my concerns were not well received. This situation highlights a broader issue I would like to address.

Enthusiasm Leads to Anger...

I've noticed a recurring pattern where initial enthusiasm leads to frustration and disengagement. From my perspective, it seems that a small but significant number of individuals are determined to push their ideas aggressively, and I feel as though I’m being pressured into compliance. To be frank, it appears that what they really want is to assume a leadership position. When I express disagreement, I increasingly face negative consequences, such as the recent removal of GitHub stars. This type of behavior is frustrating, to say the least.

For all I know, the idea of somebody setting up their own Trongate platform could be the best thing that has ever happened for the framework. On the other hand, it might not be. I'm not entirely sure if I'm willing to sit back and watch as one or two opportunistic parasites hijack a project that I've invested thousands of hours into. So, I'm taking a little time to think about this.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Regards,

DC

PS - All of the original links to individual threads etc should still work.
