What's Next For Trongate?
Now that the Module Market is up and running, I think it's very obvious what our highest priority should be, as we move forward. Education.
Therefore, our next big goal for Trongate will be the construction of an exciting new 'Learning Zone' for Trongate.
The Trongate Learning Zone
The Trongate Learning Zone will be an online resource where people who have an interest in learning Trongate can enjoy free training that will teach them how to master Trongate.
This resource, once finished, will cater to everyone - from seasoned PHP developers to people who have absolutely no experience of PHP at all.
Work has already started and I'm hoping to have the basics of the Learning Zone ready by the end of next week.
A Call To Action
I think it's unhealthy for a framework to revolve around one person. So, I have made a promise to myself that I'm NOT going to personally teach on the Trongate Learning Zone. Well... allow me be a little more specific. I probably will write articles, do some development and design course content. However, I'm not going in front of a camera and I'm not personally going to be appearing in any screencasts. Instead, I'll be calling upon members from our community to get involved. I think it'll be a refreshing change for everyone to see other people talking about Trongate. I'm looking forward to it!
Our community is our best asset and I'm confident that the Trongate Learning Zone is going to be a fantastic resource. I'm very excited about what's coming up. To be entirely honest, I'm also curious to find out what happens if I step back from the spotlight.
Please do get in touch with me if you'd like to get involved. You can use the link at the very bottom of this page.
Regards,
DC
