Just getting back into the swing after having to take of some business for the last year. When open Trongate, I just get a
"LOADING - PLEASE WAIT" error.
I downloaded the latest version and still got the error.

Is there some setup step I'm missing?

If you are on Windows you may want to delete the old settings directory which is usually located at %appdata%/trongate...

I deleted
C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\Trongate\userdata\user_settings.txt
but am still getting the "LOADING ..." message
if that was not the correct file or location let me know.

Delete the whole directory, not just that one file. The Desktop app will recreate it and all the files inside it.

That moved me forward, thanks, but it won't let me submit the license number I got from the user_license_ke.txt file.

More specifically, I typed in the numbers, and it gave me the green "SUBMIT" button, but when I clicked it, nothing seemed to happen.

I may be wrong, but the sound of license keys makes me think this is a very old version of the desktop app (ie. when it was SCA only) ... the app no longer has a need for a license key. Try grabbing the latest version and seeing if that works?

Try extracting it to a different folder from your old one in case of any issues with anything be cached from old version. Hopefully that's all you need?

Trefs right, if you are trying use the old version from the SCA sites it won't work. DC should take that link down and swap it for the new download page on trongate.io. He removed the need to use a licence a while ago.

Thanks so much DaFa and trefwoordpunk; I have been out of the loop for over a year now and I was going to SCA -- I figured it was something like that, but didn't think of going to github.
