Great news, Trongate community! Two major additions are coming to the framework:

*** New Setup Wizard ***

A brand-new setup wizard has been built for Trongate. This wizard walks you through configuring your database connection and creating your first admin account — making it much easier to get started with a fresh Trongate installation. A YouTube video demonstration will be going up tonight showing how this works.

*** Universal Login Module ***

A brand-new universal login module has also been constructed, and it will be shipped with the framework. The module is called universal because it is designed to work with any users table of your choosing — trongate_administrators, members, users, or any table you define. It is fully flexible, secure, and easily customisable to suit your needs. You can even choose from three different design styles for your login pages.

A second YouTube video will be coming in the next 48 hours demonstrating how to work with the new login module.

I will share the YouTube URLs once the videos are live. In the meantime, keep an eye on the framework repository for the updates.

Happy coding!

An update, ladies and gentlemen. The live stream demonstrating the new setup wizard has now been broadcast. For those who missed it, you may catch the recording at the following address:

Tomorrow evening, a second tutorial will be released — this one devoted to the new universal login module. I am informed that it shall be a thorough demonstration of the module's capabilities.

Once that tutorial has been published, both the setup wizard and the universal login module will be shipped with every installation of Trongate, without exception.

These are rather exciting times for the framework. A flurry of new features is emerging at considerable pace. I appreciate that keeping abreast of so many changes may feel a touch demanding. Rest assured, written guides are forthcoming, and there is something else in the works that will make keeping one's modules — indeed, the entire framework — up to date remarkably straightforward.

Do keep an eye on this space.

I stepped away for a week and came back to Flo, the Setup Wizard, and the Universal Login Module. Trongate has made more progress in a week than most frameworks do in a year! Truly impressive work ethic, DC. I don't know how you pulled it off but it definitely feels like magic!

Thank you. Yeah, it is a magical time for Trongate. The pace is fast.

There are loads of cool things coming up. The three things that you mentioned are just modules. The framework is solid. So, moving forward, everything you get will be just modules - not framework changes. That's cool, right? It means that we have stability.

I think the real takeoff comes when we open our code sharing platform. That'll be the moment when everybody can suddenly do their own module launches. It's going to be fantastic.

Good to see you here again.

These three new modules certainly set Trongate apart from other frameworks. The architecture feels rock-solid and I'm looking forward to seeing the modules the community will produce and share.

By the way, is there an official name for the new code sharing platform yet? I'm curious if it will be called "Module Market" or if you have something else in mind.

Hi,

I haven't completely decided but it won't be The Module Market.

Setup module is super nice, I like it a lot.
Well thought out .
