Why <span class="this_text_sucks" style="background-color: #990000; color:white">trongate is poorly documented</span> in terms of commenting in Code?<div class="uncool_declaration">
<h2><i class="fa fa-warning"></i> Uncool Comment</h2>

<p>It's entirely possible that the person who posted the comment was not trying to be uncool. Nobody has been banned or punished. Nevertheless, the purpose of the Help Bar is to give people an opportunity to get assistance with legitimate technical support requests. <p>If you are the person who created the comment - please try to be a little more careful with your wording in the future. You have not been banned and we all get things wrong from time to time. Don't worry about it. No harm done! However, we would be grateful if you could be a little more thoughtful with your comments in the future.</p>
<p>To everyone else, <b>PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THE COMMENT</b>. Doing so could potentially lead to a downward spiral that involes people getting banned and all sorts of rubbish things that we don't want.</p>

That's a feature. It has been discussed and was decided to leave out.

The Trongate IntelliSense extension for VSC would be more useful with them included

I'll have a ban script written shortly so that we don't have to humour this kind of schitt much more.

As for the comments thing? It's a legitimate question and one that's worth looking at again. However, if I want to hear "Trongate is poorly documented" then I'll go listen to the PHP Ugly podcast.

David you are right. Trongate is the best documented framework out there.
Learning Zone and the Docs are written so everyone can follow
Problem is nobody wants to think for themselves.

Thanks dj.

Dafa,

As you know, when Trongate was built I fought for every single line of code. So, I didn't want to add anything unless it was absolutely essential. It's a policy that continues today and - thanks to that policy - here we are with a framework that is approximately twenty times faster than Larabloat or Slowfony.

Having said that, I have never tested how or if comments slow down frameworks. I have no data whatsoever, in that regard.

There's certainly no scenario where adding comments will make the framework faster. The question is, "How much of a hit are we willing to take so that the framework engine has comments?"

If we can agree on a number in advance then I'd be open to the idea of running some tests and finding out - once and for all - if this is a good idea or a bad idea. Of course, we can do the whole thing live (perhaps on YouTube) so that everything is above board.

Okay, just to update you with this: I have folded and we ARE going to add comments. I repeat, we ARE. Cheers!

Hi DC, I've been working in the background to make this task easier. When you get a moment, give me a call on Skype to discuss
