Hello, and thank you for making what looks to be an excellent framework, if only I could get started with it.

When I try to execute the downloaded AppImage file, after the initial dialog with the software version appears, and a button to continue, pressing the button results in what appears to be the main menu, but within 2-3 seconds, it turns black, and while I can resize it, I can't use it at all, because I can't see it.

A screen shot of the desktop app window w/ a firefox browser session in the background so you can see it can be found here:

I'm having another issue related to working around this, but I'll post a seperate bug report for that.

Software version currently installed:
Arch Linux kernel version 6.9.5-arch-1
Using XFCE4 on X11 ask a desktop
Video Card: Nvidia RTX 4070
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core
RAM: 64GB ECC unbuffered

All packages on system have been updated recently, after the first failed attempt, but didn't make a difference.

Also, the following error is output to the console when it first runs:

...
libva error: vaGetDriverNames() failed with unknown libva error
...

I get a similar error from VLC, and I have LIBVA_DRIVER_NAME=nvidia to workout around a vainfo startup error, but it otherwise appears to work in VLC properly.

Any help you can provide is much appreciated.

So you are trying to download the Desktop App?
or trying to download a trongate app?

The Screen shows the sql files.
I assume you downloaded the Linux App.

I just downloaded the mac desktop app and created an app. along with the sql files.
Worked fine on my mac.

Not familiar with Linux.

Hi Sherp Derpa,

The problem is not with the Desktop app but looks to me like you have an X11 or Wayland issue with your Linux install - please look up how to fix that for your situation either with Google or AI. I'd do searches like 'black screen with Electron app and Wayland or X11'. Then refine it to your system version and type.
