user_token gets deleted when I view the email with the reset password link.

It is weird that the user_token get deleted from the database the second I click to view the hotmail email. I have been watching the database field and the token is just deleted. How can this be??. So the link will not work when I click to reset the password. Is this something that has to do with the hotmail account???

You have to give us alot more information to help solve this.
What module/controller/view file are you calling.
Can you describe the steps to produce the error.

Hi John,
I just tested a password reset with the 'Simple Memebers' module using the current version of PHPMailer 6.9.1 installed in my assets folder, a custom _send_email() function using gmail as the host emailer and my spare hotmail account as a user on the members module and it is working fine for me.
As Dan said earlier, please post up more info of how you are using Trongate and emailing.
