Hello John,
Are you talking about generating a database? Module? or Both?

Hello John,
Dan has a module that does exactly that. CRUD generation for a completely new module. It works very well but I'm not sure when he is going to release it for the public.
I just thought I would let you know about it.

Well... whatever you build I wish you well and I hope that we can soon see it listed in the upcoming 'you know what'.

Thanks,
Balazs really helped get the bugs out.
He is going to do a video with me about it.
Hopefully by the end of April.

Thanks, Dan

Well, I had a video call with Balazs last night, and your project came up in conversation. He seems very impressed with what you're doing.
As you probably know, I’m working on one myself - essentially converting the older desktop app into a web-based version. I’m sure it’s no surprise that this has been in the pipeline for quite some time.
I must confess, the old version of me would have been unsettled by the idea of someone building and releasing something that solves the same problem as whatever I’ve been working on. I’m human. Most people in my position would feel the same - I’m sure of it.
However, all of that line of thought was the old me. Today, I have a whole new vibe. I have softened my position. Now, I believe strongly that the only way this framework can succeed is if we foster an environment where developers are actively encouraged to build whatever they want. I’m all for developer freedom.
In addition, I think it’s important for rock star developers to be given an opportunity to shine. It’s one of the reasons why I'm so excited about the revived Trongate YouTube channel. Sure, I may not be the guy who's making the videos. But that's the whole point! That's the magic.
This framework is growing and together we will be successful.
Onwards and upwards.

Thanks for that DC,
Mine is a module generator that helps developers move a website into trongate v2.
It allows the user to input a SQL create table statement(s), and generates database and modules for each create statement(s).
Again thanks,
Dan

That all sounds cool. Of course, you can build whatever you like and that's fine anyway. There's no requirement to run things past me.
By the way:
About a month ago I made an attempt at building something for switching sites from Trongate v1 to v2. Unfortunately, I failed miserably. I gave up.
As this framework grows, there are going to be developers building all sorts of intellectual assets that make my own code look like something from the stone ages. Some of those upcoming products will be bringing in revenue - all without any involvement from me and perhaps even outwith the Trongate website.
When that time comes, I'll probably not be promoting them or even commenting. As far as that side of things goes, my only job is to be cool. Being cool means giving developers the freedom to do whatever they like, safe in the knowledge that it's all for the betterment of the framework.
Trongate now has two distinct channels on YouTube and that's amazing. Soon, you're going to see other websites appearing that are to do with Trongate. They'll be appearing here there and everywhere. Do you know what? I won't be involved in any shape or form ...and that's okay.
The goal here is to build a winning framework. The only way we win this game is if each and every one of us feels that they are being encouraged to build cool stuff. Nobody will ever be locked into my code. Instead, we're going to have a thriving community that's bursting with innovation.
It's all perfect.
