If anyone has a few minutes to spare, could you please help test some account management features on the site?
The main things I'd like to have tested are:
* Account creation
* Password update / change
* Forgot password flow
* Basically anything account-related
I'd be really grateful if you could try any of the above - even just one or two is super helpful.
If you create a test account, just let me know here (username used) and I'll delete it for you afterward so it doesn't stay in the database.
If you somehow get locked out, feel free to email me at david d0t webguy at Gmail dot cOm and I'll sort it out.
Thanks so much in advance to anyone who can spare a couple of minutes. I really appreciate it!
Hail to you all
DC

For the forgot password flow, when resetting the password after clicking the link in the email, if I input non-matching passwords then it brings up the page saying invalid/expired reset password link instead of the password inputs.
It did fail validation on non-matching passwords, because that message was still stored in flash message.

Ah, good to see the forums back 😁
However, the join page on submit is returning a server 500 error

It's okay. I've just uploaded and I'm testing now. I may contact you on WA to make sure we're good.

Okay. So, the error you saw earlier was because the structure of the 'members' table here did not match the structure of the 'members' table in the tutorial series that I put on YouTube.
There's going to be LOADS of mistakes like that over the next few days. As well as this, all of the pages look rubbish.
Nevertheless, I've rebuilt everything pertaining to members and joining. It's both on YouTube and GitHub. Here's the GitHub URL:
https://github.com/trongate/Members-App
If you're reading this message then it means you're here super early and in a sort of mid-launch stage.
Once everything is full tested and solid again, I'll put out an announcement on YouTube to let people know that the forums are back.
In the meantime, I absolutely WELCOME any help and feedback that I can get, as we test this new codebase (and there's a lot of it).
If anybody wants to create new test accounts or whatever - just to see how it's working - then that's 100% cool and welcome. Just do what you need to do then let me know and I'll safely delete those accounts afterwards. Indeed, that has already happened where people have been good enough to create test accounts and I've later gone in and deleted them.
In conclusion - it's test vibes ahoy. There WILL be loads of errors, but I'm confident that the fundamentals are solid. Indeed I'm so confident that I made it into a YouTube series and a public GitHub repo.
IF I DON'T HAVE PEOPLE LEAVING COMMENTS - TELLING ME ABOUT ERRORS - THEN I WILL BE WORRIED. SO, I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH, I WELCOME ANY HELP OR FEEDBACK YOU CAN OFFER TO DO WITH THE MEMBERS HANDLING.
Thanks for all the help. We'll keep chipping away and once we're all 100% satisfied that it's cool, I'll let everybody know that we're back in business.

PS - Apologies for typos. I'm trying to move away from having AI proof read things.

Hello DC,
I was able to create a new account without any problem.
Only remark: the [Sign Up] button on the forum startpage redirects to the log-in page, whereas I would expect to be presented with the join page.
This temporary account can be deleted.

And thanks for the new YT-tutorials. It was a joy to watch them.
[edit works] on the reset-password/done page there looks to be a typo: to me it looks an 'is' is missing

Thanks. That's exactly what I need to hear. Both of those are now solved.

Update account, change password, login, and logout all work flawlessly.
Some feedback on navigation:
On the "members-login" page: The Cancel button currently redirects to the homepage. It would be more user-friendly if it redirected to the Forum Home instead.
On the "join" page: The Cancel button also redirects to the homepage. Similarly, it would be more intuitive if this pointed back to the Forum Home.
